Strategic Technology Implementation Plan for City Fire Department

Project Description

SDI was contracted by the fire department to develop a comprehensive Strategic Technology Implementation Plan that will allow the department to more effectively plan for current and future technology needs over the next three to five years. This plan specifically emphasizes software applications, integration of new software and systems, coordination of future end user needs for software products, and procurement of hardware and network equipment to support the department.

Project Goals

The fire deparment's plan was designed to develop a vision for the future and identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas of threats within the department combined with the department’s Mission Statement to establish realistic goals, tasks and services which can be provided in the future. Additionally, the department needed to define service outcomes in the form of measurable performance objectives and targets.

Project Results

The Report on Strategic Technology Implementation Planning for the future was delivered to the Fire Commissioner.
