It began in 1989 when SDI President David A. Gupta gathered together a group of talented engineering-oriented professionals with evolving technology skills and focused their technical systems expertise to better fulfill the operational needs of clients. From a single yet complex government departmental client, SDI expanded further into the public sector, real estate, utility, education, and transportation industries. Today, SDI is a privately-held company comprised of more than 100 business and technology professionals averaging 14 years of industry-specific experience per employee.

Continuing to build on our core competency of managing strategic assets through technology, the company, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, now supports operations for nearly 150 clients, achieving consistent annual growth in revenues.
